About ETH Zürich:
ETH Zürich (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich / Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich) is an internationally renowned technical university located in Zürich. Founded in 1854 by the Swiss federal government, ETH Zürich is consistently ranked among the worlds top universities. Its reputation is founded on the numerous significant contributions to science made by its researchers and graduates. The university boasts an illustrious alumni roster, counting luminaries such as Albert Einstein and John von Neumann among its former students. There are a total of 21 Nobel Laureates who are associated with the ETH Zürich. Today, the institution is comprised of 16 deparments covering a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines spread over two campuses. The central campus is located in the city center on the east side of the river Limmat, and the newer Hönggerberg campus is built in the outskirts of Zürich near the suburb of Höng.
Reaching ETH Zürich Central Campus:
• ETH Zurich is conveniently accessible, just a 10-12 minute walk from Zurich Main Station. Alternatively, you can reach the university using Tram lines 6 and 10 or take the Polybahn funicular from Central Plaza.
• To reach ETH Zurich from the airport, take tram line 10 from the airport to the ETH/Universitätsspital stop. For a faster alternative, catch one of the frequent trains (IC1, IC5, IC8, IC81, IR13, IR36, IR75, S2, S16, S24) to the main station, then proceed on foot or take tram line 6 or 10 to ETH Zurich.
